RACE INFORMATION

Registration and start times

Important: Please bring along your registration email or ticket on the day

 

9.30am – All participants are required to collect their allocated race number at the registration tent located near the start and finish lines on the eastern end of the main avenue inside St. Anne’s Park (Red Stables end). Registration will be open from 9.30am for both events until 10 minutes before each start time.

10.30am – 2.5km event starts (Start line is located on the main avenue. A pre-event warm up will take place 15 mins before the start.)

11am – 5km event starts (Start line is located on the main avenue. A pre-event warm up will take place 15 mins before the start.)

 

The Route

The route is a flat course and consists of a footpath surface with the exception of the final 50m approx. which is on grass. The route remains inside the grounds of St. Anne’s Park. The 5km route starts further along the avenue and entails running the 2.5km route below twice.

 
 

Timing and Finisher’s Goodie bags

Chip timing is not provided, however a digital clock will time the 5km event and will be on display at the finish line so be sure to keep an eye out and remember your time! We aim to provide a Finisher’s Certificate and Goodie Bag to each finisher who registered online thanks to our generous sponsors!

 

Safety information

It is important that all participants wear their race number during the event.  Walkers are asked to please start the events at the rear of the field. All participants are asked to give right of way to other park users who are not taking part in The Good Run. The Order of Malta will be on site to provide First Aid to any participant who requires assistance. Please report any incident to a course steward or a member of the Order of Malta.

 

Getting There

Please use public transport where possible.

BUS: Dublin Bus route 130 travels by the park. Alight on Mt. Prospect Ave.

DART: You can take the DART to Raheny Dart Station. Turn right out of the station and continue down the hill through the crossroads. Turn left at Watermill road, continue through roundabout and park entrance is on the right. Follow the path to the start (allow 15-20 mins walk).

CAR: If you need to travel by car, follow Clontarf Road travelling from the city centre. Pass the wooden bridge to Bull Island. Turn left at traffic lights at Mount Prospect Avenue, follow road for approximately 500m. Red Stables car park is on your right. Travelling from the north follow Howth Road through Raheny village, turn left at Watermill Road and turn right at roundabout at All Saints Road. Car park is on the left at the 4th roundabout
